Chapter 45 of 90 TEST
Prayer Group Testimonies

Multiplication - God’s way

There was one day in particular when a larger number of people turned up. However, most of them forgot to bring any food. Someone brought a bunch of grapes and another a tiny lettuce. Ursula was worried as she couldn’t see how we were going to feed everyone.

Sister Peggy was there that day and suggested we go into the kitchen and plate up whatever we had anyway. Ursula, Sister Peggy and another two persons, went into the kitchen to put it all together. In all we had two slices of ham, one tiny lettuce, two tomatoes, a bunch of grapes, a few pieces of bread and cheese and there were about 12 people to feed. Ursula gave me this account later:

“Sister Peggy was at the sink washing the lettuce and breaking the bits of cheese and handing them to me. We were all talking and laughing and working away merrily. At the back of my mind, I had the thought, where is all this coming from? but I dismissed it and carried on. I kept handing plates back to the two people who were taking them through to the living-room. When we had finished and I walked through to the front room, I was amazed to see everyone eating happily from full plates. There was no way we had had that much food. The amazing thing is, I never saw it happening!”

In the end, we put back more into our fridge than we had taken out. Praise God!
